Tamim Iqbal, a batsman for Bangladesh, was hurt today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium while batting in the nets next to the indoor facilities.
In the nets, Tamim was facing Taskin Ahmed when a delivery struck his left index finger. Following the incident, the hitter left the nets and got preliminary care.
Then, with his finger bandaged, the opener was seen exiting the property.
After the injury, Tamim Iqbal is recovering well, according to Fortune Barishal of the BPL, citing physio Bayjedul Islam.
Tamim Iqbal is not dissatisfied. The franchise cited Bayjedul as stating, “He is quite fine.”
On September 26, 2023, Tamim participated in his last international match as part of New Zealand’s ODI visit of Bangladesh.
After two days of net workouts, Tamim is expected to play in the Bangladesh Premier League match on January 20 between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders.
