The only option for Norway to have a shot at moving further in the tournament was to defeat the teams that were competing for the first time, and they did it with ease at Eden Park, with Sophie Roman Haug scoring a hat trick.

The injured Ada Hegerberg was replaced by Roman Haug, who scored twice in the first half. Caroline Graham Hansen, who was brought back into the lineup, added a third goal before halftime.

Alicia Barker scored an own goal shortly after the halftime break, and Guro Reiten scored a penalty goal before transferring the ball for Roman Haug to complete her hat trick and give her team the win in injury time.

The Philippines, who made their first appearance at the World Cup and won a legendary match against New Zealand, headed into their last encounter with the intention of advancing to the knockout round.

However, they sobbed their way out of the competition after suffering a humiliating loss in a match that they concluded with ten players after Sofia Harrison was ejected.

In contrast, Norway will compete in the round of 16 at Wellington against the winner of Group C, which will be determined by the match between Japan and Spain.
