The cricket stadium in Sharjah celebrated Sachin Tendulkar’s 50th birthday by naming a special place after him because he was really good at playing cricket for India.
In a special event in the United Arab Emirates, a place where people can watch sports and events, they named a part of the building after a very famous cricket player from India named Sachin Tendulkar. They renamed the ‘West Stand’ to be called the ‘Sachin Tendulkar Stand’.
Tendulkar played a really good game of cricket and scored 143 points against Australia in April 1998. The game was called ‘Desert Storm’ because there was a big sand storm that stopped the game for 25 minutes.
Shane Warne said good job to Sachin Tendulkar after a big game called ‘Deseret Storm’.
India played a game with Australia and a man named Tendulkar did really well by hitting 134 runs on his birthday. India won the game and got into the final round of the tournament.
Tendulkar, a famous cricket player, was happy and thanked people for giving him an award. He said this in a newspaper.
I really wanted to go but I already promised to do something else. Playing in Sharjah is super fun and exciting. The people there are great and they love cricket a lot. We’ve had lots of really awesome times there.
Sachin really likes his ‘slowest fifty’ score.

The Sydney Cricket Ground did something special for a famous cricket player named Tendulkar. They put up some gates and named them after him and another cricket player named Brian Lara.
Tendulkar stopped playing sports in 2013. He was really good and scored 100 points in games around the world, which no one else has done yet. He played for 24 years and was very famous.
