Shakib Al Hasan, who is the captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, played a game called tape-tennis cricket while celebrating a holiday called Eid-ul-Fitr in his hometown Magura.

In villages, many kids like to play a game called tape-tennis cricket. Shakib was really good at it and people would ask him to play for their team. One time, a game of tape-tennis cricket changed Shakib’s life.

Shakib went to a special prayer event called Eid-ul-Fitr at a place called Nomani Maidan in Magura.

Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan didn’t miss an opportunity to try a few shots in tape-tennis cricket on Saturday while he was celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr in his home town Magura. 

Tape-tennis cricket is the most popular form of cricket among the youth in village, and also overall in localities around the country. Shakib was fairly proficient and was often “hired” to play for different villages during his childhood. One such game of tape-tennis cricket had turned around the fate of the champion all-rounder.

Earlier, Shakib had attended Eid-ul-Fitr prayer congregation at the Nomani Maidan in Magura.
