Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has agreed to terms with Dhaka Premier League (DPL) club Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club on a two-year contract.
The ace all-rounder, who played for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the last DPL season, revealed the news on Saturday during a Victory Day celebration gathering at Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.
“I am overjoyed to be a member of this club.” I am hopeful that Sheikh Jamal will be able to retain his title for the following two years. “We’ll try to help each other and bring the team success,” Shakib stated.
Shakib is currently rehabilitating from a finger injury and did not play in the recent series against New Zealand at home. Since receiving the ruling Awami Leagues’ nomination for Magura -1 constituency, the 36-year-old has been optimistic in his preparations for the approaching general elections.
