PSL officials verified the inclusion of Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan in the draught of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a statement on their X account (previously Twitter).
The franchise league’s ninth edition is scheduled for February 13–March 3 of the following year, with December 14 as a potential date for the auction.
There were 493 foreign players selected in the draught, with 28 of them being from Bangladesh. Shakib, however, is the only cricket player from Bangladesh in the most costly platinum category, with a starting price of 1.3 lakh US dollars.
Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, and Taskin Ahmed are among the other Bangladeshi cricket players in the diamond category, with a starting price of $60,000.
Shakib only participated in one Peshawar Zalmi game prior to having to travel to the US due to his wife’s illness.
Shakib had participated in two PSL tournaments before, one in 2017 with Zalmi and the other in 2016 with Karachi Kings.
