Shakib blames tamim for series defeat against afghanistan0

Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh’s one-day international team, placed the responsibility on previous captain Tamim Iqbal for the team’s loss in the one-day international series against Afghanistan earlier this year.

During the second part of his interview with T Sports, the all-rounder said that he saw, for the first time in his life, a captain announcing his retirement after playing in the first game in a series. He noted that this was a first for him.

“I will blame the captain one hundred percent for our team’s failure in the series against Afghanistan. After playing the first game in a series, I didn’t see a captain anywhere in the world come in and tearfully announcing that they would no longer play cricket. “This is the very first time in my life that I’ve encountered anything similar to it,” Shakib stated.

After playing the first one-day international of the three-match series in Chattogram, Tamim made the shocking decision to retire from all forms of international cricket. However, after meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina the next day, Tamim reversed his decision and returned to the sport.

The solitary win for Bangladesh came in the third game of that series, which they ultimately lost 2-1.

Shakib remarked, “A responsible captain can never do something like this,” adding that they were still reeling from the defeat. “A responsible captain can never do something like this,”

When questioned about the strengths and weaknesses of his side’s World Cup roster, the captain of Bangladesh’s cricket team said that the only member of the group that he would miss is injured bowler Ebadot Hossain.
“Ebadot is my biggest loss in the World Cup, and except for his absence there is no weakness in my team,” stated Shakib. “There is no weakness in my team except for his absence.”

Shakib also predicted that World Cup starter Liton Das would bounce back from his slump and have a strong performance in the tournament.
