Despite this, Fulham had the first good chance of the game.
The center back for Fulham seemed to be in no danger as he let a pass to go over his body; however, Darwin Nunez took advantage of the center back’s hesitation to poke the ball away, and the defender brought him to the ground by bringing him to the ground, which caused the referee to instantly signal to the penalty spot.
As a consequence of Salah stepping up to take the subsequent penalty kick, which he then crushed dead center, he extended his record of scoring in consecutive games played at home to eight.
