Rony Talukdar, a hitter who bats right-handed, has been appointed as the successor for Tamim Iqbal, a former captain of the Bangladesh one-day international team who announced his retirement on Thursday.
“Since Tamim had decided to step down from his role as captain of the One-Day International squad, we have decided to choose Rony Talukdar to take his position. According to him, “He is already in Chattogram because he was named to the T20 squad.”
After making his One-Day International (ODI) debut earlier this year in May against Ireland, Rony was dropped after only one match, in which he scored four runs.
