Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot in the final minutes of Al Nassr’s 1-0 win over Al Shorta in the Arab Club Champions Cup semifinal at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha on Wednesday. This sent Al Nassr to their first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup final.
Ronaldo scored the first goal in their last game, a 3-1 win over Raja Casablanca. In the 75th minute, when Sadio Mane, Al Nassr’s latest big-name signing, was brought down inside the box, Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot.
As he does so often, Ronaldo stepped up and slid the ball into the right side of the net, leaving the Al Shorta goalkeeper with no chance.
Ronaldo has now scored four goals in five games, putting him at the top of the list of competition scorers.
Ronaldo’s team, Al Nassr, will play the winner of Al Shabab and Al Hilal in the final on Saturday night. They are trying to win their first Arab Club Champions Cup.
