A brief tour by the Brazilian player Ronaldinho Gaucho, who won the World Cup in his country, will take place in Bangladesh on October 18, according to a sports promoter named Shotodru Dutta.
In an interview with The Daily Star, a sports promoter based in Kolkata revealed that a meet-and-greet event with the Brazilian footballer will take place on the evening of October 18 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dhaka. Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi Salahuddin and national team captain Jamal Bhuiyan are among those who have been invited to attend the event.
The now-retired player had won all of the major titles with Brazil and had wowed football fans all over the globe while playing for European powerhouses such as PSG, Barcelona, and AC Milan. He is now retired.
According to Dutta, Ronaldinho will arrive in Dhaka at 2:00 p.m. on October 18 after spending two days in Kolkata. Ronaldinho is scheduled to depart Dhaka in the early morning hours of October 19.
The Brazilian official could also stop by the Prime Minister’s Office, although this is contingent on Sheikh Hasina’s decision to grant permission for the visit.
Emiliano Martinez, the custodian for Argentina, was only recently brought to Dhaka by Dutta in the month of July this year. This visit, on the other hand, was met with considerable criticism since there was little chance for public connection with the supporters, and also because the Argentine seemed to ignore Bangladesh captain Jamal at the airport as he was travelling to Kolkata.
