This afternoon, Brazilian football player Ronaldinho Gaucho arrived in Dhaka after a quick flight from Kolkata. Ronaldinho Gaucho won the World Cup in football for Brazil in 2002.
On the evening of October 18, the Brazilian will host a meet and greet event at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dhaka. Invitees include the head of the Bangladesh Football Federation, Kazi Salahuddin, as well as the captain of the national squad, Jamal Bhuiyan.
The footballer, who is now retired, had won all of the major titles with Brazil and had wowed football fans all around the world while playing for European powerhouses such as PSG, Barcelona, and AC Milan.
According to Satadru Dutta, a sports promoter based in Kolkata who is bringing Ronaldinho to Dhaka, the Brazilian legend will leave the country in the early hours of Thursday morning. Ronaldinho will be in Dhaka until Wednesday night.
The Brazilian official might also pay a visit to the Prime Minister’s Office, although this is contingent on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina making an appointment for her.
Emiliano Martinez, the custodian for Argentina, was just recently brought to Dhaka by Dutta in the month of July this year. This tour, on the other hand, was met with some criticism due to the fact that there was little opportunity for public interaction with the supporters, as well as the Argentine’s apparent rejection of Bangladesh captain Jamal at the airport as he was on his way to Kolkata.
