Romeo Beckham has been officially signed by Brentford B on a permanent basis, the Premier League club said on Saturday. This comes after the forward spent the second part of the 2022-23 season in England on loan with another team.
Beckham, who began practicing with the squad in October of the previous year and joined it in January on a six-month loan from Inter Miami, signed a one-year deal with an extension option for an additional year. The loan from Inter Miami lasted until April.
The Premier League Cup is a competition that is conducted by the Premier League for under-21 sides. In May, the 20-year-old was a member of the squad that won the trophy for the competition.
During his stint on loan with Brentford B, Beckham made 15 appearances and scored one goal for the club. His father, David Beckham, was the captain of England and is currently the president and co-owner of Inter Miami.
“We added Romeo to our squad in January, and he’s been fantastic for the group,” said Neil MacFarlane, the coach of Brentford B. “We are very happy to have him.”
“We’ve continued to develop him in and out of possession, and we’re looking forward to him coming back in good spirits so that we can continue working with him next season.”
