On Sunday, a cricket player named Ajinkya Rahane scored a lot of points really quickly for his team Chennai Super Kings. They ended up with the most points of the season so far and are now in first place in the league.
Even though Jason Roy and Rinku Singh played really well, Kolkata still lost by a lot in front of a lot of people at a loud stadium. This was their fourth loss in a row.
Devon Conway hit his 4th half-century in a row while playing a game of cricket. Later, Rahane and Shivam Dube hit the ball really hard and managed to score 85 runs in just 32 balls. They hit the ball over the boundary line 10 times and hit it for four 8 times.
Kulwant Khejroliya made Dube leave the game in the 18th over. Then, Rahane started playing even better and hit 21 runs in the last five balls he played. This helped Chennai get their third-highest score ever in the IPL.
Rahane said that he started playing this season with a happy and focused attitude. He really enjoys playing with the captain of the Chennai team, MS Dhoni, because he makes Rahane feel like he can do anything.
Kolkata had a really bad beginning. Two players, Sunil Narine and Narayan Jagadeesan, got out very quickly and the team was in trouble. Their score was only 1-2.
Venkatesh Iyer hit a good score of 20 but got out by Moeen Ali. Nitish Rana scored 27 while Roy quickly reached his 50 with the help of Rinku.
In a game, a man named Rinku was playing and he was doing pretty well, but his teammates kept getting out. One of his opponents, an English man, was tricked by another player named Maheesh Theekshana. Even though Rinku lost a lot of his teammates, he still did a good job and scored 53 runs without getting out himself.
Theekshana and Tushar Deshpande each got two points while playing a game. Theekshana got 32 points and Tushar Deshpande got 43 points.
In a game of cricket, two players named Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell did really well together. They helped their team win the game by seven points. Another player named Harshal Patel did a great job too!
Trent Boult, a cricket player from New Zealand, made a really good move and got the other team’s best player out with his first throw! He also got another player out, and now the other team is not doing very well. This happened at a cricket field called M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Du Plessis and Maxwell played really well in a game called Indian Premier League. They helped their team, Bangalore, when things were going bad and ended up scoring a lot of runs really quickly. They hit 127 runs in only 66 balls.
Du Plessis hit the ball really well and got a lot of points before he got out. Maxwell hit the ball in a tricky way and someone caught it for him to be out, but he got even more points than Du Plessis.
Dinesh Karthik didn’t do very well at the end of the game, only getting 16 points in 13 turns. Bangalore’s final score was 189-9, which gave Rajasthan a chance to still win.
The pink team’s Jos Buttler didn’t score any points and was out of the game. This made Mohammed Siraj very happy and it happened on the second ball that the England captain played.
Two cricket players named Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal worked together and scored 98 runs, but they both got out within 12 balls of each other.
Sanju Samson only scored 22 points and Shimron Hetmyer got out after scoring 3 points. Dhruv Jurel did really well and scored 34 points without getting out in just 16 balls. Ashwin also played.
