The French league’s governing body punished Paris St Germain custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma for two matches on Wednesday for a high challenge that saw him sent off during Sunday’s 2-0 win at Le Havre.
In the 10th minute, the Italy international was sent out after his mistimed attempt at a high-footed clearance struck Josue Casimir in the head.
Donnarumma will miss the defending champions’ next two Ligue 1 games against Nantes and Lille, although he is still eligible for Wednesday’s Champions League encounter against Dortmund.
