Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus received the World Football Summit Award on Monday during the current World Football Summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The award was presented on December 11, 2023, at a gala ceremony honoring remarkable persons. According to a press release published by the Yunus Centre, the prize recognized Yunus for his “extraordinary contribution to impact in the sports industry and his lifetime achievements.”
The World Football Summit Award honors notable persons who have influenced the course of football. This year’s award ceremony took place on December 11th, 2023, on the day of the World Football Summit, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from the 12th to the 13th of December 2023. This year’s Honours recognized four great individuals, each of whom has contributed to and continues to lead the way in making a lasting effect in football and beyond.
