After a business meeting in Dubai on Sunday, star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan asked his fans to pray for him before the Asia Cup.
“The World Cup and the Asia Cup are coming up. Shakib said in his speech at the opening of the NRI Jewellery sales office in Dubai, “Pray for us so that we can play well.”
Mohammad Ashraful, who used to be the captain of Bangladesh, was also at the event in Dubai.
The best all-rounder left the country last month to play in the Global T20 League in Canada. He has been named captain of the ODI team for the upcoming Asia Cup and the World Cup in India later this year. The all-rounder then went to Sri Lanka to play in the Lanka Premier League before going to Dubai to meet a business obligation.
Shakib is likely to come back to the country tonight.
