Openers face injury scare0

During today’s training session, all three Bangladeshi openers for the impending ODI series against Afghanistan had injury scares.

During a fielding drill, Tamim Iqbal exhibited signs of experiencing back pain. After that, he left for the dressing room. Due to back discomfort, Tamim was recently ruled out of the lone Test against Afghanistan.

Liton Das, another opener, also experienced agony while batting. A thrower’s delivery struck Liton on the palm, and the visibly frustrated right-hander took it out on the stumps behind him before exiting the nets.

The physiotherapist for Bangladesh spoke with Liton before the batsman returned to the dressing room, still in agony.

Mohammad Naim, the substitute opener, was also struck above the knee by a delivery. However, he continued to bat after that.

According to a source close to the team’s administration, neither Tamim nor Liton’s injuries were critical. After concluding his at-bat, Naim exhibited no indications of discomfort.
