Reports say that Neymar has told Paris Saint-Germain that he wants to leave the club this summer so that he can make a shocking return to Barcelona.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Neymar’s desire to leave PSG is fueled by the fact that PSG fans asked him to leave in front of his Paris home in May.
Neymar has been tied to Barcelona again, six years after he left for Paris. However, a return still depends on a lot of things.
Even though Neymar wants to play for Barcelona, the club’s financial situation makes things a lot harder. Also, ESPN says that the club is having a debate about whether or not to sign the forward. Some people are in favor of the move, while others, like boss Xavi Hernandez, think the Brazil international would not fit in with this Barca team.
It is also thought that PSG had planned to let Neymar go this summer, even though he still had four years left on his £25 million-a-year deal. However, they chose to keep him because Kylian Mbappe’s future was unclear.
During his six years at PSG, Neymar has played 173 games and scored 118 goals and set up 77 other goals.
During pre-season, when he came back from an injury, he played against Jeonbuk and scored two goals and had an assist.
