The cricket players from Bangladesh said “Happy Eid” to their fans and followers on Saturday because it’s a special holiday for Muslims in their country.
Mushfiqur Rahim, a cricket player who catches the ball and hits it, is having a happy time with his family in Bogura. He wrote about it on his official page. Facebook page: “Assalamualaikum all… Eid Mubarak…May Almighty grant all our good deeds.”
Mushfiqur spoke to some people called the media after a special prayer called Eid. He asked them to pray for his team’s upcoming games against another team called Ireland in England.
“Alhamdullillah, this feels great. Wishing everyone Eid Mubarak. Everyone celebrate Eid with family safely, and please do pray for us [Bangladesh team] for our upcoming series [against Ireland] in England,” Mushfiqur said.
The leader of a cricket team called Tamim Iqbal said hello to everyone on the internet.
“Wishing everyone a very happy Eid. Eid Mubarak,” Tamim wrote.
“Eid Mubarak to you and your family! May the spirit of Ramadan stay with you throughout the year and fill your life with goodness and grace,” wrote Mahmudullah Riyad.
Shakib Al Hasan, who is in charge of Bangladesh’s Test and T20I teams, went to a special gathering for a holiday called Eid-up-Fitr. He also said “happy holiday” to his fans on the internet.
“No matter where you are, may you and your loved ones enjoy every moment together and may the new year bring an abundance of love, happiness and tranquility to everyone. Eid Mubarak!”
The cricket players who play for the country will have to start practicing again soon. They will have a short training camp in Sylhet on April 26 before going to the United Kingdom to play three matches against Ireland for the Cricket World Cup Super League.
The Tigers will play three games of a sport called ODI. The first game is on May 9, the second is on May 12, and the third is on May 14. All the games will be at a place called Cloud County Ground in Chelmsford.
