The Federation Cup draw, held today at BFF House, placed reigning champions Mohammedan SC and runners-up Abahani Limited in Group B.

The 34th edition of the competition will begin on December 26 at three different locations: Munshiganj, Gopalganj, and the Bashundhara Kings Arena. The final is scheduled for May 21 of the following year.
This is the third time Abahani and Mohammedan have been assigned to the same Federation Cup group. They were previously paired together in 2013 and 2020, but neither made it to the final in either edition.
In the previous edition, 11-time champions Mohammedan and 12-time champions Abahani met in the final for the first time in 14 years, with the former winning on penalties.
The ten teams were divided into three groups, with the top two teams from each group, as well as the two best third-place finishers, advancing to the quarterfinals.
Police FC, Sheikh Jamal DC, and Rahmatganj MFS are in Group A.
Abahani, Mohammedan SC, Ctg Abahani, and Brothers Union comprise Group B.
Bashundhara Kings, Sheikh Russel KC, and Fortis FC are in Group C.
