On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC), the governing body of world cricket, presented Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz with a cap in celebration of his selection to the ICC Men’s One-Day International Team of the Year for 2022.
Eleven exceptional players were selected to make up this year’s Team of the Year. These players were chosen because of their play with the bat, the ball, or their overall performance over the course of a calendar year.
As a result of his outstanding performances in one-day international cricket in 2022, Mehidy Hasan Miraz established himself as one of the most reliable all-rounders.
Miraz improved his batting while maintaining the same high level of effectiveness with his bowling, and he frequently rescued Bangladesh from difficult circumstances.
He took 24 wickets throughout the course of 15 games, averaging 28.20 runs per game and had a top performance of 4/29. In addition to that, he scored 330 runs at an incredible average of 66, including one century and one fifty.
Travis Head of Australia, Shai Hope of the West Indies, Shreyas Iyer of India, Tom Latham of New Zealand, Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe, Alzarri Joseph of the West Indies, Mohammed Siraj of India, and Trent Boult of New Zealand make up the remaining 10 members of the team.
