Lionel Messi has already shown that he is a team player at his new club, Inter Miami. The Argentine striker shocked a team mate in the players’ group chat by offering a timely help with tickets to his presentation on Sunday.
This demonstrated that Lionel Messi is committed to playing as a member of a team.
Last weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Messi was welcomed as the new face of Major League Soccer (MLS) in front of a packed stadium full of enthusiastic supporters. Not even the pouring rain was able to ruin Messi’s welcoming celebration, which took place last weekend.
The new teammates of the seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or also did not want to miss the ceremony, so striker Leonardo Campana reached out to Inter’s WhatsApp group in search of spare passes.
“On Sunday, Campana was looking for tickets and he put in the group chat if anybody has any,” Inter defender DeAndre Yedlin said to the press. “If anybody has any, please let him know.”
“I didn’t even know whether Messi was in the group chat yet, but he popped up straightaway and said, ‘How many do you need though?’ ” “I didn’t even know whether Messi was in the group chat yet.” Just like that, right from the bat.
“From that point on, all I could say was ‘Woah!'” You understand what I am getting at. Right off the start, they had probably known each other for about three days at this point or something. However, in order to demonstrate that giving is a wonderful and current illustration of how (Messi) is,”
After a delay caused by heavy rain and lightning, a sold-out audience of around 20,000 supporters waited through the delay to watch Lionel Messi be presented with his No. 10 jersey. After the presentation, Messi was joined on the field by his family, where they posed for selfies as fireworks lit up the sky.
