The first one-day international match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan was played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Due to a second rain delay, the match was shortened to 43 overs for each team.

Towhid Hridoy was batting on 42 and Taskin Ahmed was unbeaten on three when Bangladesh resumed their first innings in the 35th over with their score at 144 for seven.

The revised condition stated that a maximum of nine overs could be bowled by three bowlers, while a maximum of eight overs could be bowled by two bowlers.
