Emiliano Martinez, the goalie for Argentina who won the World Cup, has shared his excitement about his future journey to the subcontinent on his various social media platforms.
The 30-year-old musician, who will tour the Indian subcontinent from July 3 to July 5, remarked in an Instagram post that he was delighted to meet the Bangladesh fans and added the phrase “Ami tomader bhalobashi.”
“Hello Everybody, My first journey to the Indian subcontinent will take place between July 3rd and July 5th, and during that time I will take part in a number of humanitarian events. These activities include serving as the chief guest at a charity football match held at Mohunbagan club, as well as participating in several fan engagement programs, sponsor felicitation, and promoting the “beautiful game.”
“I know Kolkata and Bangladesh have huge Argentina fans, and I am very excited to meet them,” he posted on his official Facebook account before leaving for the game in Kolkata and Bangladesh.
The sports promoter Satadru Dutta, who is located in Kolkata and is responsible for bringing the goalkeeper who plays for Argentina and Aston Villa to the subcontinent, stated that he will be coming to Bangladesh in the near future to inform everyone about the specifics of the tour.
Dutta told The Daily Star over the phone on Monday that Emiliano Martinez is extremely pleased to come to Bangladesh. “We all know Emiliano Martinez has a star in this part of the world and he is very excited to come to Bangladesh,” Dutta said.
It is probable that he will have a meet and greet with a sponsor during lunch, and it is also likely that he will have another one over supper. After that, he would most likely meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and offer her a jersey, provided that she had time to accept the gift. Dutta, who has in the past brought football greats like Pele and Diego Maradona to Kolkata, adding that there may also be an event held at a stadium if it is possible.
