Hakan Calhanoglu and Lautaro Martinez scored either side of halftime to give Inter Milan a 2-1 win at Atalanta in Serie A on Saturday. This gave Simone Inzaghi’s team the top spot in the standings for another week.
Calhanoglu scored from the penalty spot just before halftime to give Inter the lead. Martinez added to their lead with a shot inside the far post, but Gianluca Scamacca scored after an hour to make it a draw.
Inter’s lead at the top of the table is now five points, with 28 points from 11 games. Second-placed Juventus will be visiting Fiorentina on Sunday.
Atalanta gave up their first goal at home this season. They are currently in fifth place with 19 points, two behind Napoli, who beat Salernitana 2-0 earlier on Saturday thanks to goals from Giacomo Raspadori and Elif Elmas.
