Man utd ease pressure on ten hag0

With a tense 1-0 win over Luton on Saturday, Manchester United put less pressure on their under-fire manager Erik ten Hag. Meanwhile, Tottenham lost 2-1 at Wolves after giving up two goals in extra time.

Newcastle also lost shockingly, and Dominik Solanke’s two goals lifted Bournemouth out of the relegation zone.

United’s embarrassing loss in Copenhagen on Wednesday in the Champions League group stage was just the latest low point in a rough season. Victor Lindelof’s second-half winner gave Ten Hag some much-needed breathing room.

United had lost five of their first ten home games this season. It was their worst start to a season at Old Trafford since 1930–31, when they also lost five of ten and were dropped from the Premier League.

They had also lost three of their last four games across all categories, which made things even worse for Ten Hag.

With all of this bad news and the current “Glazers out” protests happening outside of Old Trafford before the game, it was a good time for Ten Hag and his difficult Luton team to make their first trip to United since 1991.

Sixth place It paid off for United in the 59th minute when Marcus Rashford saved a corner kick from Bruno Fernandes and Lindelof scored from close range.

“Today is fine. Ten Hag said, “We needed the win and got it, but we could have made things easier by scoring early and getting a second.”

“I have to compliment the team that they kept going, kept organised and didn’t give anything away.”

Tottenham missed the chance to go back to the top of the table because Wolves played so well in the last few minutes.

Spurs went ahead in the third minute thanks to Brennan Johnson’s first goal for the team since moving from Nottingham Forest.

However, Wolves took over after that and won a memorable game thanks to an amazing ending.

In the first minute of extra time, Pablo Sarabia finally tied the game by smashing the ball past Guglielmo Vicario after Matheus Cunha set him up.

Spurs were not at their best because stars James Maddison and Micky van de Ven were hurt. Mario Lemina punished them in the 97th minute by finishing Sarabia’s cross with ease from 12 yards out.

“There were no more legs left”

Tottenham had not lost in 10 games to start the season. This was their second straight loss after losing 4-1 to Chelsea on Monday, in which two players were sent off.

“Wolves are always going to come on strong and we ran out of legs at the end,” said Postecoglou.

“It makes sense; many of those guys haven’t played.” Several good goals were made. It’s tough to handle.

Tottenham lost, which helped Arsenal beat Burnley 3-1 and move one point ahead of their north London rivals into second place.

Leandro Trossard scored the first goal for Arsenal, which was their 1,000th at the Emirates Stadium since they moved there from Highbury in 2006.

In the 54th minute, Burnley tied the game when Josh Brownhill’s shot went in after Gabriel, an Arsenal defender, deflected it.

But three minutes later, a close-range header by William Saliba put Arsenal back in charge, and in the 74th minute, Oleksandr Zinchenko scored their third goal with a shot.

In the 83rd minute, Arsenal was down to 10 players after Fabio Vieira got a straight red card for hitting Brownhill on the knee.

Newcastle paid for their hard work by losing to Borussia Dortmund away in the Champions League last week. They had a lot of injuries.

In 13 minutes of the second half, Solanke scored twice from close range to give Bournemouth their second league win under Andoni Iraola. The score was 2-0.

Newcastle has now lost six of their 12 Premier League games this season, and they are still seven points behind the leaders in seventh place.

With a 3-2 win at Crystal Palace, Everton moved out of the relegation zone.

They scored three goals from Vitaliy Mykolenko, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Idrissa Gueye, and now they are eight points ahead of the bottom three teams.
