Low-key miami debut for suarez0

Inter Miami’s pre-season trip began Friday with a 0-0 tie against El Salvador, in which Luis Suarez made his debut alongside former Barcelona colleague Lionel Messi.

Suarez, who joined Major League Soccer’s Miami last month from Brazilian club Gremio, began in attack with Argentine superstar Messi at the Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador.

However, the 36-year-old Uruguayan attacker failed to find his feet in a slow start to his career with the Florida team.

Suarez, Messi, and other former Barcelona players Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba were all replaced at halftime with the game scoreless.

Friday’s game kicked off a frantic series of pre-season friendly for Miami as they prepare to begin the new MLS season against Real Salt Lake on February 21.

Miami will play a friendly against FC Dallas on Monday before travelling to Saudi Arabia to face Al-Hilal on January 29.

They play Al-Nassr on February 1, and Messi is expected to meet old adversary Cristiano Ronaldo once again.
