Liton Das, the wicket-keeper batter from Bangladesh who was playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has left the tournament early due to a family emergency, according to a press release from the franchise.
Liton Das had to leave for Bangladesh on Friday, April 28th due to a family medical emergency. The media release expressed their support and wished him and his family strength during this tough time.
Liton joined the Kolkata franchise for the first time in the IPL this season but only played one game after joining on April 9th.
In his single match against Delhi Capitals, Liton Das scored four runs but received criticism for two errors while playing as a wicketkeeper. Jason Roy’s impressive performance after replacing Shakib Al Hasan made it challenging for Liton to secure playing opportunities.
Liton was supposed to go to England to play in the ODI Super League matches against Ireland but had to come back home because of a family emergency.
