The boss of Liverpool’s football team, Juergen Klopp, was surprised when he saw that another team, Tottenham Hotspur, lost 6-1 in a game. He thought something was wrong with his TV! But he still thinks Tottenham is a good team and could be tough to play against in future games.
On Sunday, Liverpool and Spurs are going to play a soccer game. Spurs have been having a hard time lately and lost really badly last week. They need to win this game to keep their chances of playing in Europe.
Klopp was watching a soccer game on TV, but he had to leave for a little while. When he came back, the score was much higher than he expected. He thought there might be something wrong with the TV, but it turned out that the other team was just doing really well.
Spurs are in fifth place in the league with 54 points, but Liverpool, who are in seventh place, can pass them if they win at Anfield. It will be tough for Spurs to win because they have only won once in their last 20 games against Liverpool. But the coach of Liverpool is still worried about the good players on the Spurs team.
“I have no idea what happened at Tottenham but I see Harry Kane, I see Son Heung-min, I see (Dejan) Kulusevski, I see (Ivan) Perisic, Richarlison, (Pierre-Emile) Hojbjerg and so on and so on and so on,” said Klopp.
I believe Tottenham is a really good team and they have a player named Harry Kane who is really good at scoring goals. They can do well even if they don’t have the right ball.
