Today’s match between Bangladesh and India in the third and last one-day international ended in a tie at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The match was the final one-day international. After the action, the captain of Bangladesh, Nigar Sultana Joty, expressed her admiration for the spectacular comeback that her team had just accomplished in the game.
The decisive game of the series was a nail-biter, and it came down to the home team’s opener, Fargana Haque Pinky, who scored an astonishing 107 runs. The home team’s total of 225 for four was achieved thanks to her performance. India’s tally of 225 runs in their reply was not enough to prevent them from being dismissed after 49.3 overs. Since the time limit for the match had already been reached, there was no longer any possibility of playing a Super Over, and the three-match series was divided evenly between the two teams.
“Both the match and the experience were wonderful,” they remarked in their post-match interview. Unbelievable, the way in which the ladies competed against one another in the fights. After the halftime break, we were talking about the two different ways the game might go: either we would play an aggressive game against them, or they would play an aggressive game against us. Nahida had a respectable bowling performance. During the awards ceremony that took place immediately after the match, Joty said that the performances of all of the bowlers were exemplary.
Nevertheless, Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian squad, had severe criticism for the umpiring for the whole of the match.
Playing the game, in my opinion, presents us with a significant number of educational opportunities that we should take advantage of. Even if we put the cricket aside for a little time, the extent of umpiring that was being taken on really shocked us. Kaur is quoted as saying, “the next time we come to Bangladesh, we will make sure that we have to deal with this type of umpiring, and we will prepare ourselves accordingly.”
“They (Bangladesh) batted really effectively, and they batted in accordance with the circumstances,” the commentator said. They were purchasing such singles, which were of utmost significance. However, when it was our turn to bat, we exercised a great deal of control over the game. She went on to say, “However, as I mentioned earlier, there was some poor umpiring done, and we are extremely dissatisfied with several decisions issued by the umpires.” We are extremely dissatisfied with numerous decisions issued by the umpires. While we were batting, we performed a fairly excellent job of controlling the game, but we did allow a few runs to be scored in the middle of the game.
The fact that Kaur hit the wickets with her bat and had some harsh words with the umpire before leaving the field demonstrates that she was visibly agitated on the field after being run out of the game.
