After a five-month wait, Bangladesh national women’s team cricketers under central contract finally received their monthly salary on Tuesday, according to Bangladesh Cricket Board women’s wing chairman Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel.
“Look, we made some changes to the proposal we presented to the board, which is why it was unexpectedly delayed.” In reality, it was late,” Nadel told reporters today in Sylhet.
“After learning about the problem, we communicated with the board president and the CEO.” It was later processed, and the salaries, as far as I know, have already been deposited to the players’ accounts.”
After Nigar Sultana Joty and her team won the third and final match of the ODI series against Pakistan earlier this month in Mirpur, it was revealed that the players had not received their salary for five months owing to a “technical reason.”
Nadel, on the other hand, did not hesitate to accept responsibility for the delay, noting that the board had completed its duties and had also paid bonuses to the players and coaching staff based on the performance of the Pakistan series.
