
On Sunday, the organizers of the Ispahani-Prothom Alo Inter-University Football Tournament were present at a hotel in the nation’s capital to participate in the draw for the tournament.
At a press conference held on Sunday at a hotel in the nation’s capital, the organizers of the Ispahani-Prothom Alo Inter-University Football Tournament revealed that the first game of the tournament would be played in Chattogram on July 14.
At the preliminary stage, the competition will take place in Chattogram, Cumilla, and Dhaka, and will feature participation from a total of 33 universities throughout Bangladesh, both public and private. The final round will include eight teams and take place on the campus of Daffodil International University in Dhaka on July 29, the same day that the match for the championship will take place.
The length of each match will be 70 minutes, with a 10-minute break in between each one. Each of the sides will have a roster that consists of 20 players.
During the press conference, the event’s organizers said that the winning team would be awarded Tk five lacs, while the team that finished in second place would earn Tk three lacs.
The head of sports for Prothom Alo, Utpal Shuvro, was the one who led the press briefing. Other people who spoke on the occasion included the editor of the newspaper, Matiur Rahman; a former national team coach; Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu; the vice-chancellor of Daffodil University; Zahida Ispahani; and Omar Hannan, the general manager of the company.
Former players and coaches such as Maruful Haque, Saiful Bari, Shafiqul Islam Manik, Imtiaz Sultan Jonny, Kaiser Hamid, Imtiaz Ahmed Nakib, and Alfaz Ahmed were present at the occasion. Other attendees were Shafiqul Islam Manik.
Azad Rahman, who is the head of the referees’ committee for the Bangladesh Football Federation, presided over the draw ceremony for the competition.
Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu will be in charge of the technical committee, while Golam Sarwar Tipu will be in charge of the tournament committee, which has a total membership of 19.
