On the first day of the very first Sheikh Hasina Inter Bank Football Tournament, which took place on Saturday at the Army Stadium in Dhaka, City Bank defeated Islami Bank by a score of 3-0.
The Bangladesh Association of Banks is responsible for organizing the competition, in which a total of 34 bank teams are competing. The occasion was kicked off by the Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, while the BAB chairman, Nazrul Islam Mazumder, presided over the proceedings.
Alongside prominent officials of the Bangladesh Army, the chairman, director, managing director, and senior executives of BAB member banks were also in attendance. The former president of the FBCCI, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, was also there.
