According to India’s coach, Paras Mhambrey, the team’s bowling supplies pose a “problem of plenty” for India as they prepare for both Sunday’s Asia Cup final and the commencement of the ODI World Cup the following month.
Following victories over Pakistan and Sri Lanka, India has secured their spot in the championship match. India’s bowlers were particularly successful in both of these matches. The team lead by Rohit Sharma was successful in restricting Pakistan to 128 runs.
“A problem of plenty is always good, we have four quality bowlers out there, we have great options,” the bowling coach Mhambrey remarked on Thursday in reference to a pace attack that is captained by Jasprit Bumrah and also features Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur. Hardik Pandya is another player that can play multiple positions.
The spin force is now held by Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.
“The option of choosing the right combination will depend on what surface we are playing on and what opponents we are playing,” he added. “The right combination will depend on what surface we are playing on.”
On the day of the Indian team’s final Super Four match, which will take place on Friday in Colombo versus Bangladesh, the players, including the up-and-coming batsman Tilak Varma and the T20 sensation Suryakumar Yadav, practiced in the nets. Bangladesh will be the opponent.
Mhambrey did not reveal very much information about the cast.
“We haven’t decided on what we will do, but obviously there is an opportunity to give a game to other players since we have qualified for the final,” said the former medium-pace bowler. “We haven’t decided on what we will do.”
Mhambrey noted that Bangladesh had played very competitive cricket over the past few years, despite the fact that Bangladesh have only won one match thus far at the Asia Cup. They have some fast bowlers of good caliber rising through the ranks.
“From our point of view, every team that we face is crucial, and every squad is going to present us with a challenge. Because Bangladesh is a strong opposition, we will need to bring our best cricket to the match.
