The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the roster announcement on Sunday for the forthcoming five-match T20I and ODI series against the Bangladesh women’s team, which will begin on July 9. The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS), which is located in Mirpur, will serve as the venue for all six of the matches.
Despite the fact that Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to serve as the captain of the team in all forms, there have been a number of key personnel adjustments made to the squad since it competed in South Africa four months ago.
This will be the first time that the Indian women’s team has competed since the Twenty20 World Cup, which took place in South Africa in February, and it will also be the first time that the players have been in action since the Women’s Premier League (WPL), which took place in March.
Both Renuka Singh Thakur and Richa Ghosh, in addition to the veteran pacer Shikha Pandey, have been overlooked for selection to either of the two teams that will represent India on this tour.
Following the conclusion of the second and third Twenty20 Internationals on July 11 and 13, respectively, there will be three One-Day Internationals against Bangladesh on July 16, 19, and 22. At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, which is located in Dhaka, all six of the matches will be contested.
