Pakistan’s campaign got started to a strong start on Wednesday, defeating Nepal by an overwhelming 238 runs.
Pakistan produced 342 for six thanks to centuries from world-class batsmen Babar Azam and all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed. Later, leg-spinner Shadab Khan claimed four wickets for 27 runs, helping Nepal be bowled out for 104 in 23.4 overs.
Owing to current political tensions between India and Pakistan, Sri Lanka is co-hosting the event even though Pakistan is officially the official host nation.
