India A prevailed over Pakistan A by an eight-wicket margin in their last match in Group B of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup on Wednesday at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar grabbed five wickets, and opener Sai Sudharsan scored a century during India A’s victory.
This means that India A end the group stage as the group winners, and they will play Bangladesh A in the second semifinal, which is set to be played on Friday at the same site as the first semifinal.
After Pakistan A won the toss and elected to bat first, they were bowled out for 205 in 48 overs. Hangargekar concluded with figures of five for 42, and left-arm spinner Manav Jagdusakumar Suthar scalped three to help do this.
In India A’s reply, Sudharsan scored an undefeated 104 off of 110 balls, and Nikin Jose scored a 53 off of 64 balls, which helped India A coast to an easy victory in 36.4 overs.
