After the Bangladesh Cricket Board opted not to allow him to play for Yorkshire in the English County side, Bangladesh speedster Taskin Ahmed stated on Wednesday that he is keen to play in other competitions across the world. Taskin Ahmed is from Bangladesh.

Taskin, who recently underwent surgery for a side strain injury, is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is hoping to play in the one-off test match that Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium beginning on June 14.

The BCB did include him in the 15-person squad that will compete in the match; however, his position in the best eleven is still up in the air at this time.

“Every player has the desire to compete in leagues all over the world, but we also have to take into consideration our national commitments. I play all three formats for Bangladesh.” But if I can’t attend during my spare time, it does make me feel horrible about myself. Taskin told reporters in Dhaka on Wednesday that he is keen to participate in foreign leagues in the future for his own personal achievements. “Sometimes it feels bad not to play leagues worldwide, and I am eager to play international leagues,”

On Wednesday, the 28-year-old acknowledged that he received an offer to play for Yorkshire. However, he also said that after discussing the matter with him, the head coach Chandika Hathurusingha and the board decided not to let him go.

“Yorkshire made me an offer, and they wanted me to play for a substantial portion of the season. I have discussed this matter with both the head coach and the board. After taking everything into account, they made the decision not to let me play in the lengthier edition of the games. “As a player, it’s reassuring to know that the board has plans for me in the future,” he added. “It feels good to know that the board has plans for me.”

The participation of Taskin in the test is still up in the air, and according to Dr. Debashish Chowdhury, the chief physician of the BCB, the pacer will be deemed fit to participate only when he is able to handle the burden that has been set for him.

Despite Afghanistan’s decision to rest legspinner Rashid Khan for the test, Taskin was hopeful that he would be able to recuperate in time for the match and recognized the strength of Afghanistan’s team.

“By the favor of God, I am doing well as I am training and preparing for the test match, and I am looking forward to playing.” If the Lord, who is all-powerful, keeps me in shape, I believe that I will be prepared to compete. Afghanistan is having success in international cricket, and some of its players are having success in different competitions throughout the globe. But if we can play cricket to the best of our abilities, I have faith that we will perform well,” Taskin remarked.
