The head coach of Bangladesh, Chandika Hathurusingha, stated that he was dissatisfied with the preparation that the Tigers received before to their series against Ireland, which is set to begin today in Chelmsford, England in the United Kingdom.

It wasn’t exactly the most apparent reason – the players – that troubled the Sri Lankan coach; rather, it was the circumstances in England, which served as a neutral site for Ireland’s home series versus Bangladesh. The Sri Lankan coach’s preparations for preparation were slightly impeded owing to the rain in England.

The 54-year-old went so far as to declare that he wouldn’t have committed to play the series if he had known the calendar beforehand that accommodated the matches at the end of spring and the beginning of summer in England. This statement was made by the player after he was asked about his decision to not play the series. It is tough to go onto the field during this time of the year since rain storms typically arrive during this time of the year and can continue nonstop.

“It is a unique circumstance. We have a match scheduled in England against Ireland. Because of this, it does not generally occur very frequently. I can’t blame anyone. This is the very first instance. If we had been aware of this fact, we never would have agreed to adhere to such a rigid timetable.

This is not the best way to get ready. I won’t point the finger at anyone. On the eve of the inaugural one-day international match in Chelmsford, Hathurusingha assured the press that “we will learn from this one.”

At the Leys Cricket Ground in Cambridge, the soldiers under Hathurusingha’s command were allowed to participate in two practice sessions, but their one and only tour match, which was scheduled to be played against the Ireland Wolves, was rained out. Another session for the Tigers was supposed to take place at the location; however, due to the previously mentioned issue, that session had to be canceled as well.

The very first time that Tamim Iqbal and the rest of the team were permitted to practice at the location of the match in Chelmsford was on Monday. Before their first game, the players had the opportunity to hit the nets both indoors and outdoors, and some of them even worked up a sweat in the gym in an effort to shake off any lingering rust.
