The second one-day international match of the three-match series took place on Tuesday in Chelmsford, England. Bangladesh bowler Hasan Mahmud took the wicket of Ireland opener Stephen Doheny, which resulted in the hosts being two wickets down for 30 runs at the conclusion of the powerplay.
Hasan dismissed Paul Stirling in the very first over of the game, then he came back in the seventh over to dismiss Doheny. Doheny’s backfoot punch off a short-of-a-length ball was caught by Mehedi Hasan Miraz at backward point. Before being taken out of the game, the right-handed hitter drove in 12 runs while facing 21 balls.
