After suffering a leg injury in the 36th minute, playmaker Kevin de Bruyne was taken off the pitch and replaced by Phil Foden, an England midfielder. This caused City’s issues to worsen.
When City faced Chelsea in the championship game two years ago and lost, De Bruyne was also hurt and had to leave the game.
Inter, who were playing City for the first time, are aiming to win the European Cup for the fourth time this season.
