Bangladesh lost their starter Mohammad Naim and Najmul Hossain Shanto early on in the third and final ODI against Afghanistan at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

They were trying to beat Afghanistan’s low score of 127 runs.

After seven overs, Bangladesh had lost two wickets and was at 28.

Bangladesh did a great job with the ball, even though they had already lost the three-game series 2-0. Shoriful Islam was the star of the show, taking four wickets for 21 runs in nine overs.

But Bangladesh lost their first wicket in the third over of the game when Naim tried to cut a Fazalhaq Farooqi ball away from his body but only got an inside edge to his stumps.

Naim was added to the team in place of the regular captain, Tamim Iqbal. After eight deliveries, he left without making the scorers worry. Naim also didn’t do much in the second ODI. He scored nine runs off of 21 deliveries, but Bangladesh still lost by a record 142 runs.

Liton Das hit Farooqi for a six and Shanto hit him for a four in the seventh over, but the Afghan pacer came back strong and bowled Shanto in that over. The left-hander was out after 15 balls and 11 runs.
