Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, a former captain of the Bangladesh cricket team who is now a member of parliament, expressed his joy at meeting Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper for Argentina’s national team who won the World Cup in 2014.

Martinez is now in Dhaka for a brief visit.

An occasion in Badda provided the opportunity for the former captain to introduce his children to the Argentine goalkeeper who was instrumental in the country’s third World Cup victory, which took place last year. After some time had passed, Mashrafe published an emotional note on his website with photographs of his children with the Argentine celebrity.

Today in Dhaka, we had the pleasure of meeting Emi, who was one of the heroes of Argentina’s win. Only spent a short amount of time with him, but it was a memorable experience. The goalie for the side that ended up winning the World Cup is right in front of us! The text of the message said, “He has no idea how many years of waiting came to an end for me and millions of others like me the day Argentina won the World Cup!”

“In all honesty, I couldn’t be happier for my children. They could hardly contain their excitement when I told them, “Emi is coming, do you want to meet?” They were unable to get a good night’s sleep for the last two days due to the anticipation. After seeing Emi earlier today, I told her that the children are eager to get her signature. He exhibited such a high level of honesty. It was incredible in every sense of the term. Even more, he posed for photographs with them. “At this point, they are very happy, and because they are happy, I am also very happy,” Mashrafe stated in his subsequent message.

“Emi, I’d want to extend a warm welcome to the region of Bengal. You’ve got an incredible number of longtime supporters in this place. “I hope you are also feeling good about setting your feet on this ground,” Mashrafe said in an email to the Argentine star as a way to welcome him.

Emiliano landed in Dhaka in the wee hours of the morning and was immediately whisked away to the Westin Hotel in Gulshan, where he was protected by a tight security perimeter. In the morning, he traveled to the office of NEXT Ventures in Badda, which is a digital business organization. There, he spent some time with chosen visitors, such as Mashrafe and ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak.

Fans and members of the media were waiting outside the hotel as well as the office building, but the only view they had of the Argentine star was via the windows of the vehicle he was traveling in.

Later, under high security, the Argentine allegedly headed for the Prime Minister’s Office, where he is anticipated to see the PM and give over Argentina’s jersey to her. The Prime Minister’s Office was the location of his reported departure.

Martinez is planning to depart from Dhaka in the afternoon and go to Kolkata.
