After being excluded off the Tigers’ Asia Cup roster owing to a knee ailment, Bangladesh pacer Ebadot Hossain traveled to the United Kingdom Wednesday to see a doctor.

On Monday morning, the 29-year-old departed for London. On August 30, he is due to see a doctor.

Ebadot’s anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury occurred during the ODI series against Afghanistan last month. The pacer was passed over for the Asia Cup because he was unable to heal as quickly as was anticipated following rehab.

It was discovered that Ebadot would go to the UK to get a second opinion on his ailment.

The BCB would decide whether to use conservative therapy or have the pacemaker undergo surgery since it is worried about the present status of Ebadot’s injury.

The forthcoming ODI World Cup, which is slated to take place in October and November of this year, is likely to be postponed if Ebadot has to have surgery, according to the sources.
