Jeremy Doku, a winger for Manchester City, scored two goals and set up two more in seven intense minutes in the first half. He added two more assists in the second half as the winners beat Bournemouth 6-1 to go to the top of the Premier League on Saturday.

It took City a half hour of careful pressing before they finally scored. Doku played a smooth one-two with Rodri on the edge of the box, and Rodri then guided the ball home.

Three minutes later, Doku’s amazing footwork caught the Bournemouth defence off guard as he set up Bernardo Silva to score the second goal. In the 37th minute, Manuel Akanji blocked his left-foot shot into the net.

Doku set up replacement Phil Foden to score in the 64th minute. Luis Sinisterra scored a goal to make it 2-1 for the Cherries, but Silva and Nathan Ake sealed the win, putting City on top with 27 points, one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who play Chelsea on Monday.
