According to a statement released by the Premier League club Chelsea on Saturday, the transfer of Jamaican international striker Dujuan Richards to Chelsea has been finalized.
The 17-year-old presently attends the Phoenix All Stars Academy in Kingston, and he earned his first appearance for Jamaica’s senior national team back in March. This month, he received his third cap for Jamaica in a friendly match against Qatar.
While playing for Kingston College at the collegiate level, Richards racked up 31 goals and nine assists for the team.
Richards has been included in Jamaica’s team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will begin on Saturday with a match against the United States of America in the first encounter of Group A.
