Chattogram Division beat Rajshahi by 10 wickets in a tier-2 National Cricket League (NCL) match on Monday, moving them up to tier-1 for the 26th season of the NCL.
Chattogram finished first in Tier-2 with 47 points, five wins in six games. They were 13 points ahead of Khulna Division, who also had a comfortable win before the second session of the third day.
There was only one winner at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium that day: Rajshahi. They had a long way to go after falling to 99 for 6 the day before.
Hasan Murad, who was just called up for his first Test match for the series against New Zealand, quickly got rid of Sabbir Rahman (7), which pretty much ended Rajshahi’s chances.

A new face has joined the Test team led by Shanto: Hasan Murad.
Best Player of the Game Murad took another wicket to get his nine-wicket haul for the game, which meant that Rajshahi could only score 124 runs, even though Sunzamul Islam was still unbeaten on 36.
It left Chattogram with 24 runs to win, which they quickly got in 2.2 overs.
The player of the tournament was spin bowler Nayeem Hasan, who was also on the Tigers’ team for the New Zealand Tests. He took five wickets in the game, bringing his total for the tournament to 36.
Barishal could only set Khulna a 72-run goal at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna after they had only added four runs to their overnight score of 42 for six. After beating Dhaka Metro’s 48 against Rangpur in 2014, Barishal’s 46 all out is now the lowest score in the history of the country’s first-class cricket.
Best Player of the Game At the end of the game, Sheikh Mahedi had taken all four wickets, giving him an impressive 11 wickets, 7 wickets, 10 wickets, and 8 runs.
It only took 7.4 overs for Khulna to win their chase, just like it did for Chattogram. After Anamul Haque Bijoy (14) was out, Prantik Nawrose Nabil (33 not out) and Soumya Sarkar (28 not out) hit seven fours and three sixes together.
However, the tier-1 matches finally happened at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground, with Dhaka Metro and the table-toppers Dhaka Division playing. The game only lasted 16 overs, though, because bad weather in Cox’s Bazar ruined the first two days of play.
Dhaka Division got to 77 for two thanks to Naim Sheikh’s unbeaten 51 off of 45 balls. He hit four fours and as many sixes.
At Bogra’s Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Sylhet Division ended the third day ahead because Rangpur lost captain Akbar Ali late in the day. They ended the day at 110 for 4, chasing a tough 387.
When the game started again at 228 for 4, Sylhet made things even worse for Rangpur by having Shamsur Rahman score a crucial 128 off 180 balls, which included 13 fours and two overs.
