In today’s match against Cambodia, which is being hosted by Cambodia, Bangladesh’s head coach Javier Cabrera will make his last effort to figure out the best combination of players and fine-tune the playing eleven before the forthcoming SAFF Championship. This will take place in Phnom Penh.

The kickoff time for the FIFA friendly encounter is going to be 6:00 p.m. BST.

“Here at our facility, preparations are underway for the SAFF Championship. We are well aware that the competition we will face tomorrow (today) will be fierce; nonetheless, we cannot contain our excitement over the prospect of competing in Cambodia’s fantastic environment. Yesterday, at a press conference held before the game, Cabrera informed reporters that “it will be the perfect preparation for us.”

The Spaniard went on to say that his team will approach the game in the same manner that they did against Cambodia in September of last year. At that time, Rakib Hossain scored the lone goal that separated the two teams in a FIFA friendly match.

Before the big practice match against Cambodia, an opponent that has not defeated Bangladesh in previous five encounters, Cabrera tested all of the available 21 players in a 1-0 victory over a Cambodia top league side called Tiffy Army FC. The only player who did not participate was Rakib Hossain.

According to our captain, Jamal Bhuiyan, our primary objective is to win the SAFF Championship. We warmed up with a match against a local team, which proved to be a valuable test for us; nevertheless, the primary test will take place tomorrow (today). Because Cambodia is home to some really talented athletes, I have no doubt that this contest will be exciting to watch. The next game is something that we are looking forward to.

After the first warm-up match, defenders Bishwanath Ghosh and Isa Faisal joined the team, giving Cabrera more alternatives to evaluate than before. In order to get off to a strong start in the SAFF Championship, the Spaniard who is now 37 years old will most likely focus on consolidating his defensive unit during today’s game.

As a part of the second round of their training for the regional football extravaganza, the guys dressed in red and green have been in Cambodia. The regional football extravaganza is slated to get off on June 21 in Bengaluru, India. After the match against Cambodia, they are going straight to India the next day.
