The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed to The Daily Star on Tuesday that Mohsin Sheikh Pervaiz has been selected as the national team’s performance analyst for the New Zealand tour.
Pervaiz, who worked in the similar role for the Afghanistan team at the 2023 World Cup, will temporarily replace Shrinivas Chandrasekaran.
Following the conclusion of the series, the BCB will consider appointing a permanent replacement.
BCB did not renew contracts with fast bowling coach Allan Donald or spin coach Rangana Herath, and eventually parted ways with Chandrasekaran after the World Cup ended.
According to reports, the board will not extend the contract of fielding coach Shane McDermott.
BCB is considering several methods for filling vacant posts and will issue recruitment circulars at the end of this month.
Herath, whose contract expired last month, is still in the running for a return.
